Almost everything in life is beyond your control.
No matter how hard you try to make things happen, no matter how careful or calculated you are, there are forces at play that you’ll never predict. There’s no guarantee. That’s reality.
And that’s the reason lessons come only after a bad experience.
You can prevent a bad experience, of course. And you should do your best to prevent them from happening.
But don’t beat yourself up when things go wrong. That’s an added expense. You lose time and the opportunity to correct things.
Shame is normal. But don’t let the darkness win.
Process your emotions privately.
Taking responsibility isn’t only about admitting the mistake — it’s also about self-care when things get really bad.
Take care of yourself whatever happens.
Do it for the people who love you more than you can imagine.
