Simplicity

There’s always a solution. And often it’s obvious. But we never notice it. Because our minds are so used to making things complicated.

Work

If you can’t progress in whatever you’re doing, break the tasks down into smaller chunks. Do that one small chunk in an hour.

In 5 hours, you’ve done 5 chunks of work. In 5 days, you’ve done 25 chunks. And that’s because you streamline the process. Simplicity is efficiency.

Home

If you spend so much time searching for things, cleaning, maintaining, and repairing, you own too many stuff.

Give up those items. You don’t need them. Sell, donate, or throw (reuse/recycle) what you don’t need. Keep your house simple. A simple home is more manageable.

Money

If you can’t find a solution to your money problem, you’re probably looking for a one-time fix, which can be huge.

Focus on one tiny solution first. Maybe earn an extra $1 today instead of $100? Focus on that first. Make it simple.

Learning

If you can’t understand what you’re reading or studying, focus on one sentence first. Explain what that sentence means in your own words. Don’t rush. Find the synonyms of words that are hard to understand.

Make sure you fully understand what that means before you proceed to the next sentence. Keep things simple.

Purpose

If you can’t figure out where to start or what to do with your life, ask yourself what activity excites you? If it’s more than one, list them down. Start with one first. Do that as soon as you can.

Doesn’t matter what the outcome is. The point is you’ve started. Make your starting point simple.

In anything you want to do, ask what’s the simplest way to start?

Aiming for simplicity removes all the imagined barriers.

You can’t deny it. Simplicity keeps you sane.
