Sometimes we’re up, sometimes down.
Sometimes we’re pulling, sometimes pushing.
Sometimes we flow like water. But sometimes we also attack like a storm.
Sometimes we’re the knowledgeable. But also, sometimes (or most of the time) we’re the ignorant.
We can’t just like cold if we haven’t experienced hot. Same with liking comfort over discomfort. Or sweet over bitter.
Life is always a contradiction. And to live is to experience both sides. It’s either we’re on this side or the other side. It’s either the ideal or the less ideal situation.
And that’s how it should be. Imagine an alternate reality where life has no variety in it — all of us stay in one place or do the same thing over and over again.
Imagine a life where everything is predictable. What’s the point of living, then?
Life, by its nature, is unpredictable and complex. A one big paradox.
Calm, yet chaotic. Full, yet empty.
And that makes this whole thing beautiful.
Every time you complain about life’s discomfort, remember you’re just on the other side. That’s part of living.
